DREES organizes special events each year for Cancer Conquerors in the DMV area. One highlight is an elegant luncheon that aims to inspire, entertain and educate cancer conquerors, their caregivers, family and friends. Dr. Kashif Ali from Maryland Oncology and his expert team partner with DREES to sponsor this annual event to provide the latest updates on cancer and share encouraging news about recent advancements in the field. The event often includes a spiritual element as well as we share the Gospel through music and special guests; it usually features a comedian, as laughter truly is good medicine.

We also stage various plays focused on health and wellness, believing that sight and sound are powerful ways to spread messages of hope, well-being, and good health. Additionally, our annual Gospel Comedy Show serves as a meaningful event that unites the community, allowing everyone to celebrate humor and joy while appreciating each other's company.
